From a homeless single mum to £157m headhunter
AFTER founding her medical recruitment firm as a penniless single mother living in a homeless refuge, Penny Streeter now has a fortune of £157million.
The 50-year-old founded A24 Group – then called Ambition – in 1996 and the firm provides more than 100,000 hours’ work
each week for healthcare professionals. The Zimbabwean- born mother of four – 744th on the list – moved to the UK aged 12 with her mother and left school at 15.
She now lives in Cape Town with husband Nick Rea but keeps a house in West Sussex.
