Even though the pub chain has just announced worse-than-expected sales growth in its third quarter, the broker said: ‘Wetherspoon continues to take market share from the competition, we believe benefiting from trading down within the pub sector.’

SELL THIS: Greggs

ANALYSTS at broker Peel Hunt recommend investors reduce holdings in Greggs.

Shares in the High Street baker plunged 15pc last week after it revealed the ‘Beast from the East’ cold spell had knocked its profits flat.

Peel Hunt said that while ‘Greggs hasn’t become a bad company overnight’ it believes its share price is still much too high.
