SILVERSTONE SAVED?

F1 managing director Sean Bratches revealed talks had taken place over Silverstone hosting the 1,000th grand prix in 2019. Those negotiations ended due to the proposed April date, but Bratches was ‘encouraged’ that Silverstone could remain on the calendar beyond 2019 despite the venue triggering a clause to make next year’s event its final race.
