Stressful season...now let’s party!
I tHINK it will take a year or two to recover, it was so stressful. But what a wonderful outcome — to be here now, standing on the edge of the pitch knowing that all we have to do is have a good time.
the last two years have been remarkable for many reasons but no more so than for the fan base.
there were 2,000 of us at Chelsea but you would have thought there were 50,000. they out- sang and out- cheered the Chelsea supporters.
this club is extremely accessible. I am emeritus chancellor here (Huddersfield University) and the impact on the university has been extraordinary. we are getting lots of applications, especially from the Far East. Many young people who want to study in the UK, they look at the towns which have a Premier League club.
I hope the players and staff here have a fantastic break. there will be some reforming over the summer. there’s a lack of goals so that’s where they will be paying attention.
