Gwynnie and a very intimate family snapshot
SHE is known for being unconventional, particularly when dishing out bizarre lifestyle tips on her Goop website. But even by her standards, Gwyneth Paltrow’s way of marking Mother’s Day was a trifle out of the ordinary.
The actress, 45, celebrated by sharing a picture on Instagram of herself naked while she was pregnant with her first child. In the photograph, taken in early 2004, she is covering her breasts as she poses in front of a pair of metallic curtains. Miss Paltrow gave birth days afterwards to daughter Apple, who turned 14 yesterday.
The Shakespeare In Love star, who was marking the US Mother’s Day on Sunday, shared the previously unseen portrait on social media with the post: ‘Fourteen years ago on the verge of a life changing morning … To all of us, biological, adoptive, foster, spiritual, communal, all the den mothers and grandmother and great grandmothers and great great grandmothers, all the way back, happy Mother’s Day.’
Miss Paltrow has Apple and a son, Moses, 12, with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, from whom she split in 2014 after ten years of marriage. She is now in a relationship with TV producer Brad Falchuk, while Martin has been dating actress Dakota Johnson.
