ANGEL DELIGHT WHIPPING UP NEW FANS

-

ANGEL Delight, the powdered instant dessert that was a hit in the 1970s, is proving to be just as popular with modern families.

Sales of the pudding soared 11pc last year following a relaunch by makers Premier Foods. As well as the classic sachets, it makes a ready-made version which requires no whisking or added milk.

Celebrating its success, Gavin Darby, chief executive of Premier Foods, said: ‘We’ve been bringing a lot of our brands up to date by making them younger and more relevant to today’s consumer.

‘People love brands that they’re familiar with, so this is nostalgia with a twist.’
