Will Harry and Meghan serve bowl food TWICE?
LET’S hope that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s guests are good at juggling.
For having had to stand for the ‘bowl food’ reception at Windsor Castle immediately after the wedding, I hear the experiment is to be repeated for the 200 guests at their evening reception at Frogmore House, Windsor.
There, little bowls of grub will replace a traditional sit- down banquet. My bet is that the Queen, 92, and Prince Philip, 96, who is still recovering after a hip replacement, will not stay long at the evening party, if they go at all.
It’s reportedly being organised by Michael Fawcett, Prince Charles’s aide, who is so controversial the Queen is said to cringe at the mere mention of his name.
According to biographer Tom Bower, the Queen remarked loudly to Prince Philip as they left Charles’s wedding reception at Windsor in 2005: ‘Oh look, there’s Fawcett. He’s got so fat.’
