As ever, Clare Balding will be striding out with various guests on a walk through the British countrysid­e. Today’s route will be taking her through the Devonshire countrysid­e near Hembury Fort, a historic place occupied during Neolithic, Iron Age and Roman times.

CAVA, the sparkling wine of Spain, takes its name from the Catalan caves where the wine was traditiona­lly stored. It has in recent years picked up a reputation for being cheap and cheerful, but producing cava is a complex and expensive process.
