LEICESTER POISED TO WIN RACE FOR £25m PEREIRA

LEICESTER are closing on a £25million deal for Porto right back Ricardo Pereira and plan to follow with the signing of Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts. Talks are ongoing with Porto over Portugal international Pereira, 24, who has a buy-out clause of £33m, although Leicester hope to agree a lower fee plus add-ons. Pereira has been followed by many sides, including Manchester United and Tottenham, but Leicester are hopeful. The player wants his future resolved before joining up with Portugal’s World Cup squad. STOKE CITY misfit Kevin Wimmer is in talks over a move to Hanover 96. The Austria defender joined Stoke from Tottenham last summer for £18million but made only 19 appearances and last featured in January.
