I’m oldest man ever … at 121!

A MEXICAN who claims to be 121 may be the world’s oldest man on record.

His birth certificate and official ID card say Manuel Garcia Hernandez (pictured) was born on Christmas Eve 1896. But he has never contacted Guinness World Records to have his claim tested. The chicken farmer said he rises every day at 5.30am and has a banana and apple smoothie, oatmeal and two eggs before tending his birds.

‘If I just lay in bed or sat in a chair all day then I would get sick,’ said the father of five, whose wife Rosa died eight years ago. ‘I feel like I’m 80 years old – though I’m starting to stumble a bit.’

The oldest man on record is Jiroemon Kimura of Japan, who died in 2013 at 116.
