The rings that sealed the deal
HARRY and Meghan’s rings were made of platinum and Welsh gold respectively. Prince Harry eschewed an upperclass ‘code’ which says married men do not wear rings. Having a platinum band was also seen as a break from tradition. The bride’s choice, however, reflected a custom going back to the Queen Mother. All royal brides since her marriage in 1923 have opted for Welsh gold. London’s Cleave & Company created both rings.
