Security check for ex-butler Burrell

PRINCESS Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, appeared to be stopped by security guards as he wandered close to the wedding venue.

Mr Burrell, 59, was photographed being spoken to by officials wearing high-vis jackets as he apparently strayed near a private area of Windsor around St George’s Chapel on Saturday.

Wearing a smart grey wedding suit and a pink tie, they may have thought he was trying his luck at sneaking into the wedding ceremony.

However, Mr Burrell – who made a career out of his links to the princess following her death in 1997 – was actually on his way to the media tent in his role as a commentator for an American broadcaster.
