Freud and Lily play at brides behaving badly

LOVE Actually director Richard Curtis has never married his long- term partner, Emma Freud, but she’s still found a way to play the role of a bride.

The 56-year- old broadcaster and great-granddaughter of psychoanalyst Sigmund hosted a party at the weekend to

celebrate the nuptials of Prince harry and Meghan Markle.

Freud, who has four children with Curtis, acquired a Seventies cream nylon gown and veil from a charity shop for the occasion (above far left). She even roped in Cinderella star Lily James, 29, (above right), who sported a white Emilia Wickstead dress. The actress, who lives with her boyfriend, The Crown’s Matt Smith, looked unusually inelegant as she appeared to swig from a prosecco bottle while holding a cigarette.

Four years ago, Curtis said graciously that he ‘might’ one day pop the question. Let’s hope the sight of Freud in a bridal outfit stiffens his resolve.
