MP’s ‘free’ trip . . . that cost £14,200
WOMEN and Equalities Shadow Minister Dawn Butler has just enjoyed a £14,200 freebie to Los Angeles with a member of her staff.
The nine-day trip was paid for by entrepreneur Anthony Watson, whom she has recently appointed to be one of her advisors.
The MP for Brent Central was given free accommodation and tickets to the GLAAD Media Awards night in Hollywood. Butler said she was on a factf i n d i n g mission regarding LGBT rights.
Anthony Watson is also a director of GLAAD, an LGBT campaign group. Butler made no mention of her trip on her Twitter feed or her website, but revealed bare details in the Register of Members’ Financial Interests.
