Follow-up

I CHUCKLED when I read of Barry Summerfield’s need for a particular brand of paint, insisting he always used ‘Durex’ paint (Peterborough). When I was a teenager, I went into a chemist to buy a Max Factor block of face powder. They had exotic names, but browsing through the shades, I could not find the one I required. So I asked the chap behind the counter: ‘Have you got a Tempting Touch?’ He replied: ‘Come round here and I’ll show you!’ We had a good laugh, but if he had said it today, he’d probably have got the sack.
