Tangled red tape

-

MayPOLes aren’t the only items bound up in red tape (Mail).

It used to be a easy to post a letter in my road, the last post going at 4.15pm. Then royal Mail changed to one collection at 7am.

Then a year ago, letters put in the top of the postbox fell out of the bottom!

It was taken away, but has not yet been replaced because royal Mail has to obtain planning permission, even though there has been a postbox in the road for donkey’s years.

The nearest postbox with a 4.15pm collection time is beside the rose & Crown.

It’s a long trudge away, but I can’t even get refreshed in the pub because it’s closed down! ROGER VINCE, Upper Brynamman, Carmarthenshire. IT Is typical of council planning committees that they removed a maypole after one complaint. however, permission has been granted for a neighbour’s extension that will mean their bedroom window will be ten metres from our sitting room window.
