Unfit for office
IT’S a sign of how little he cares about our precious Union of nations that yesterday was the first time Jeremy Corbyn has travelled to Northern Ireland since becoming Labour leader two-and-a-half years ago.
But no wonder it’s a visit he’s avoided – given his shameful 30-year history as a cheerleader for the IRA. So this was a test. Would he, finally, admit he got it wrong by siding with terrorists and condemn violence unequivocally? No, of course he didn’t.
Instead he disgracefully snubbed a meeting with IRA victims and failed even to mention the Republican murder of a lecturer at Queen’s University, where he spoke.
It’s yet more proof – were it needed – of his rank unsuitability for high office.
