MANCHESTER UNITED hope to make Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred their first signing of the summer in a £52.5million deal. Talks over a transfer worth £43m plus addons have advanced after Jose Mourinho identified the Brazilian (below) as the defensive midfielder he needs at Old Trafford.
