1. In the first row there are already three crosses, so the other spaces must be noughts. 2. The bottom row first space must be a nought, to avoid three consecutive crosses in the first column. 3. In the first column, the empty spaces must be noughts, as there are already three crosses. 4. In the last column, the third space down must be a nought to avoid three consecutive crosses. 5. In the fourth row, as there is a cross at either end, you must put a nought next to each to avoid having three of a kind together in the middle spaces.
