League Two play-off final PREVIEW

- By LAURIE WHITWELL

Mark robins has claimed that a victory for his Coventry side over Exeter today would be just reward for the staff doing two jobs and the fans working for nothing to keep the sky blues alive. Huge cuts were made after relegation last season, with redundancies meaning backroom members had to double up on roles, and fans doing odd jobs at the training ground for free. Former Manchester United striker robins (below), in his second spell at Coventry having become a fans’ favourite in 2012-13, said: ‘The reason i came back here was to try to make something work that was clearly broken for a long time. We have a skeleton staff but they have been phenomenal. This isn’t a sob story, it’s a story of pulling together and making sure the club is operational. ‘new people have come in with fresh energy and given everything they can because they’re supporters of Coventry City. That makes it a special place to be. ‘so if we can get promoted, it’s for them.’ Exeter boss Paul Tisdale is expected to quit and take over at Mk Dons, regardless of today’s result. it would end his 12-year association with the club.
