THE live semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent was dramatically forced off air last night – with producers blaming the stormy weather.
TV screens went black for two-and-a-half minutes before audition highlights and apologies were played while ITV producers scrambled to fix the glitch.
Presenter Declan Donnelly, who was appearing on the show for the first time without Ant McPartlin, eventually welcomed the audience back, joking: ‘All going well so far guys.’ Judge Simon Cowell chipped in, joking that Ant – who pleaded guilty to drink-driving last month – was to blame. He said: ‘You are coming back next year – you don’t have to do that, Ant.’
