Cut the red tape
PEOPLE have complained about the avalanche of emails from firms because of GDPr data protection regulations, but the new rules have affected me in a worse way.
I have mouth cancer and need special drinks to supplement my diet.
They used to be delivered directly to my home by the supplier, to save me having to carry the heavy bottles.
I have been told they can no longer do this because my doctors will not release any information to a third party. I rang the NHS Prescription Ordering Direct service who told me I would have to ring its call centre each time I needed the drinks.
The new law has been taken too literally and the different parts of the NHS seem unable or unwilling to talk to each other. ROBIN COMLEY, Telford, Shropshire.
