Philip Green fined £1,500 over ad stunt
TOPSHOP boss Sir Philip Green has been fined £1,500 over an advertising stunt at the fashion chain’s flagship store in London, after ignoring warnings it would be illegal.
Adverts were plastered over windows at the Oxford Street store in October promoting merchandise for the Netflix TV series Stranger Things.
Barrister Ian Winter entered a guilty plea at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday to a single charge of breaching planning rules.
Magistrates fined Sir Philip and his company £1,500 each and ordered them to pay combined costs of £2,908.
