BOOST EARLY FLOWERS

-

EARLY-blooming plants may benefit from being cut back. Pulmonarias,

brunneras, early cranesbills and many other spring plants have beautiful summer foliage.

If you remove the old flower stems and snip away dead leaves, young leaves will look even more beautiful. Constant-blooming perennials, such as violas, pansies and perennial wallflowers, also benefit from being cut back too. It enforces a rest period, during which the plants will develop new shoots for another beautiful display.
