US unemployment falls

UneMPLoyMenT in the United States has fallen to an 18-year low.

The jobless rate fell from 3.9pc in April to 3.8pc in May – a level last seen in 2000.

The news came hours after donald Trump tweeted: ‘Looking forward to seeing the employment numbers.’

it raised questions over whether the president had hinted good figures were on the way, and in doing so revealed market- sensitive information ahead of time.
