Already a number of top names, including star writer Alistair Down, have put their hands up for the money because, it is understood, they don’t want to work any longer for editor Bruce Millington’s hateful regime. Meanwhile, the Jockey Club have achieved something of a coup by bringing on board drinks giants Diageo, who have signed a long-term partnership worth a seven-figure sum.
