FRED’S GOOD TO GO

BRAZIL midfielder Fred (below) has passed his medical prior to finalising his £53million move to Manchester United from Shakhtar Donetsk. Fred, 25, played in Brazil’s 2-0 win over Croatia at Anfield on Sunday but was was at the Carrington training ground yesterday and is expected to become manager Jose Mourinho’s first summer signing within 24 hours. It is likely that full back Diogo Dalot, 19, will also have a medical at United this week before completing a £19m switch from Porto.
