RHS CHATSWORTH FLOWER SHOW, 7PM, BBC2

AS FLOWER show season continues, this new highlight of the horticultural calendar — launched last year — is held in the grounds of magnificent Chatsworth House in the Peak District. In an hourlong special, Gardeners’ World presenters Adam Frost, Carol Klein, Arit Anderson, Nick Bailey and Mark Lane will be seeking inspiration among the stunning displays. Highlights include the ravishing spectacle of thousands of phalaenopsis orchids in the magnificent Great Conservatory and a mass planting of 12,000 cosmos (pictured), creating a fabulous carpet

of blooms.
