European Tour broke new ground yesterday at the Shot Clock Masters near Vienna when every player was under a time restriction for each shot. Depending on the shot, there was a 50- or 40-second allowance, with the threat of a one-shot penalty if the player was too slow. Miguel Angel Jimenez, who carded a 67, said: ‘I’ve never played that quick before, I feel like I’ve just run a marathon.’
