Is mum the word?

A WOMAN who had transgender treatment, and now identifies as a man, has had a baby.

But he’s not happy. Even though he is also the baby’s natural mother, he has been in the High Court demanding that the law is changed so birth documents only record that the child has a father, or parent.

Jolly good. Let people identify as whoever they want. Let them live their own lives. But please, let us take up no more precious time of one of the highest courts in the land for such nonsensical self-indulgence.

And don’t expect us to pick up the tab after the child needs counselling as it tries to get its head around the fact that its dad also happens to be its mum.
