Lewandowski, much sought after by top Premier League clubs because he wants to leave Bayern Munich this summer, scored the opener for Poland in a 2-2 draw with non-qualifiers Chile in a World Cup warm-up last night. The Poles went 2-0 up through Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski, but Jaime Valdes and Miiko Albornoz secured parity for the Chileans. Elsewhere Switzerland, who play in Group E with Brazil, remained unbeaten in their warmup campaign with a 2-0 victory over Japan. Croatia, second favourites behind Argentina in Group D, beat African qualifiers Senegal 2-1.
