A FORMER PIN-UP for teenage girls, Duran Duran star Simon Le Bon must now reconcile himself to becoming a grandfather.

The 59-year-old and his model wife, Yasmin, 53, are celebrating the news that their daughter, Saffron, left with her mum, has given birth to a boy named Taro, above, which means ‘first-born male’ in Japanese.

The 26-year- old singer, whose sisters are model Amber, 28, and model agent Tallulah, 23, reveals the baby — whose father is music producer Ben Compston — was born at 6lb 2oz.

‘I’m more than ready to be a grandma,’ Yasmin told me before the birth. ‘I was her age when I had her, so it makes sense. It’s nice to have new younger people in the family.’ Simon, meanwhile, has said he would like to be called ‘the glamfather’.
