Carillion jobs axed

MoRe jobs have been lost following the collapse of Carillion, taking the total to more than 2,350.

The official Receiver reported that almost 12,000 jobs have now been saved – two thirds of the pre-liquidatio­n workforce at the infrastruc­ture group – after another 215 transferre­d to new employers. a further 1,129 workers have left the business to find other work or retire, leaving just under 2,700 retained to deliver Carillion’ s remaining services.
