Poldark dating ex-CIA chief ’s granddaughter
HE set hearts racing again when Poldark returned to our screens last Sunday. But Aidan Turner’s fans will be devastated to learn that he is off the market.
The Irish actor, 34, appears to be living with American actress Caitlin FitzGerald, 35, whose late grandfather Desmond FitzGerald was deputy director of the CIA during the Kennedy administration.
They were spotted several times as they ran errands in East London last week, then later enjoyed breakfast at a cafe before flying off for a romantic holiday in Paris.
An onlooker said: ‘They looked like a loved-up couple. Aidan kept on smiling at her and they were very touchy feely.’
They are thought to have been dating since
meeting on the Massachusetts set of upcoming fantasy film The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot. Sources say they rarely mingled with other cast members.
In an interview with last week’s Sunday Times Magazine Turner admitted having a girlfriend who ‘maybe’ came from New York. Miss FitzGerald was born in Maine.
Turner, whose screen wife Demelza in Poldark is played by Eleanor Tomlinson, previously dated artist Nettie Wakefield but the pair split last year. Representatives for Miss FitzGerald and Turner did not respond to requests for comment.
