VINCE BOOKS CUP FINAL DATE
JAMES VINCE’S sublime 171 sent Hampshire through to face Kent in the Royal London One-Day Cup final at Lord’s on June 30. Vince’s innings underpinned Hampshire’s 348 for nine against Yorkshire at the Ageas Bowl. The elegant batsman, dropped by England at the start of the summer, hit 20 fours and three sixes in his 126-ball innings. Yorkshire’s Jonathan Tattersall struck a defiant 89 but in vain as Hampshire coasted home by 107 runs. Tattersall hit six fours but Liam Dawson (4-47) and Chris Wood (3-46) finished the job.
