ON THE evening of August 22, 2007, 11-year-old Rhys Jones was on his way home from football practice in Croxteth, Liverpool, when he was caught in the crossfire between two gangs. Rhys was shot three times, and his death devastated his family and shocked the nation. This documentary, presented by Susanna Reid, reveals how the police worked to bring his killer to justice, despite facing a wall of silence from the terrified community. Susanna also hears from Rhys’s parents, Steve and Mel (pictured with Reid), who talk of the impact their son’s killing has had on their lives.
