STEVE HOLLAND has been coaching since he was 21, retiring as a player in 1991 after spells at Derby and Northwich Victoria. He spent 17 years at Crewe, including 18 months as manager, before moving to Chelsea in 2009. Promoted to assistant under Andre Villas-Boas, he gained Roman Abramovich’s respect for standing up to Jose Mourinho in tactical meetings.
