Enfield hit Peak form to march on
ENFIELD’S Michael Peak and Alex Casey swept into the fifth round of the Daily Mail Foursomes with a commanding win over Ealing. The pair, who are hoping to mark their club’s 125th anniversary by reaching the grand finals at Marriott St Pierre in Chepstow in October, beat Ealing’s Philip Bentley and Alastair Campbell 4&2 at home after winning five successive holes on the back nine. Peak said: ‘We enjoy the foursomes but can test each other’s patience at times.’ Camberley Heath, who made it to the finals 10 years ago, are on the charge again thanks to Berkshire county champion Sheree Dove-Wilde and Beverley Moss. The pair beat Arlene Castle and Eilean Cunningham from the Army 4&2 at home. Dove-Wilde said: ‘We are enjoying the tournament so far. The format relies on good team work and cooperation.’
