Hackers hit Travelodge
THE personal details of tens of thousands of customers using luxury store Fortnum & Mason and hotel chain Travelodge have been stolen.
The worst breach was at the hotel firm, with the information of 1 0,000 people taken. Names, dates of birth, mobile numbers and email addresses were hacked.
Travelodge warned customers that the details may be used to ‘find out more about you’. Last night Fortnum & Mason said it had contacted 23,000 people following the hacking of emails, addresses and contact numbers.
Both firms were using Spanish market research company Typeform, which has suffered the data breach. It comes days after Ticketmaster said details of 40,000 users had been hacked.
