Son, 14, stabbed as he tried to defend father from thugs
A SCHOOLBOY was stabbed repeatedly after defending his father in a street attack by youths, witnesses said.
The 14-year-old is said to have run out of his home to help his father, who was being assaulted after telling off the youths for anti-social behaviour.
One is said to have plunged a ten-inch kitchen knife into the son.
Last night the boy was recovering in hospital with his family at his side. The attack on Sunday in Hornsey, North London, was on a private road with social housing flats next to a street of £1million homes.
The victim’s father is said to be a well-respected market trader ready to challenge bad behaviour. A neighbour said: ‘The boy heard his dad was in trouble. He raced to help.’
Police said two youths of 14 and 15 were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
