Save our High Streets

-

It’s not just atMs that are vanishing from High streets (Mail). so are banks, Post Offices, nationwide stores such as House of Fraser as well as lots of independent shops.

What we get instead are charity shops, coffee bars, takeaways, estate agents, pop-up shops and a lot of boarded-up premises.

What will our High streets look like in 20 years? Does anyone care?

Will shopping in the future be just about amazon, mobile phones and the skies buzzing with delivery drones?

We may well live to regret the rush to save a pound here and 50p there when our once colourful and interesting local shopping centres become eyesores or deserts. Long live the great gods of money and greed!
