INGLOT URGES FANS TO ROOT FOR CROATIA . . . IN TENNIS!

ENGLISHMAN Dom Inglot has told his Croatian doubles partner, Franko Skugor, to make the most of the support he will receive at Wimbledon today. Come Wednesday, when England face Croatia at the World Cup, the warm welcome will have gone and Inglot (right) will be a face-painted enemy. ‘For the England versus Belgium game, I went to watch it with a group of friends,’ Inglot said. ‘I said to them that I was bringing my face paint and they said, “Yeah, yeah, good banter”. ‘So I turned up in a shirt and full face paint, and they were in evening wear. It looked a bit dodgy, but I showed passion.’ Inglot and Skugor, the No 15 seeds, face Maximo Gonzalez, of Argentina, and Chile’s Nicolas Jarry today. ‘Hopefully some Brits will be supporting Croatia (today), just for now,’ Inglot added.
