CROATIA ACE’S ESCAPE OVER VIDEO OUTBURST

CROATIA’S Domagoj Vida has been let off with a reprimand after he posted a video in which he shouts ‘Glory to Ukraine’. The defender, scorer of Croatia’s second goal against Russia in Saturday night’s quarter-final, is seen in the clip with retired player Ognjen Vukojevic, who adds: ‘This win is for Ukraine . . . go Croatia.’ Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, leading to tension between the countries. A FIFA statement said: ‘Our disciplinary committee has sent a warning to Domagoj Vida.’
