ENTER OUR BRILLIANT NEW PATIO GARDEN COMPETITION

DoeS your patio fill you with pride and joy? then why not enter our competition to find the most beautiful patio in Britain — with the chance to win a fabulous £5,000 prize. it doesn’t matter what shape or size your patio is — all we ask is that it is primarily an area of hard landscaping with a large part of the planting in containers. So if you love yours, do share it with us — you could be our lucky winner!

HOW TO ENTER

SeND your entry to: patio Garden competition, po Box 485, Fleet, hampshire Gu51 9FF. entries must arrive by Friday July 20, 2018 and include:

Four to eight photos of your patio (which have not been unreasonably enhanced by, say, photoshop). these cannot be returned.

A plan of your patio including key dimensions and aspects (i.e. the direction it faces). handdrawn or computer-produced is fine.

Your full contact details — name, postal address, phone number (including mobile) and email address (if you have one).

the judges will make a shortlist of patios to visit, then contact the successful shortlisted entrants by Sunday July 22.

Final judging will take place in the week starting Monday July 23, and the winner will be announced in Weekend magazine in August.

COMPETITION RULES

The competition is open only to amateur gardeners who do not design, maintain or build gardens for payment.

Entrants should have designed and planted the patio themselves, maintain it themselves and must have the permission of the patio owner.

Entrants should be aware that their patio may be used for promotional purposes in conjunction with the competition.

Entrants cannot submit patios that have previously won an award.

Entrants must be aged 18 or over and be UK residents. Usual Daily Mail rules apply, see page 39. The judges’ decision is final.

£5,000 first prize. There will be only one winner.
