Tragic Love Island star’s boyfriend found dead days after her funeral

THE boyfriend of tragic Love e Island star Sophie Gradon n has also been found dead just t five days after her funeral.

Aaron Armstrong, 25, was devastated by the death of his reality TV star girlfriend, who is s believed to have taken her own n life aged 32.

He discovered his girlfriend’s body y after she died at her parents’ home e less than three weeks ago.

Mr Armstrong was found dead at t his home in Blyth, Northumber­land, , yesterday afternoon.

Just 24 hours before his body was s found, Mr Armstrong wrote a social media post about Miss Gradon, whom he called his ‘angel in the sky’.

Alongside a picture of the couple, , he wrote: ‘Just wish I could cuddle e you all day, miss you so much.

‘Sophie, not a minute goes by without your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind, every day we spent together was so amazing I need them m days back. I love you princess.’

It was one of many tributes Mr r Armstrong had put on social l media about his girlfriend since her death.

After attending the funeral he posted a picture of the order of service and wrote: ‘I love you with all my heart my beautiful angel, I’m absolutely heartbroke­n, I can’t stop crying and I can feel your spirit in my soul. RIP Sophie Hannah Gradon.’

In another social media post two weeks ago, Mr Armstrong said they had discussed marriage and children before her death.

He wrote: ‘ I’m so devastated that we will never get that chance to grow old together and raise a family.’ Paying tribute to Mr Armstrong online yesterday, his friend Michael McCready posted on Facebook: ‘Very sad day today to find out that Aaron Armstrong has passed away.

‘ RIP pal. You’re now with Sophie, sending my love and thoughts to all family and friends at this hard time.’

Another friend wrote: ‘Reunited in the sky.’

His death comes after friends of Miss Gradon, a former Miss Great t Britain, B it i claimed she had fallen victim to the perils of instant fame.

She had moved away from the public spotlight since her appearance on the controvers­ial show. She had admitted to ‘selling her soul’ to reality TV.

She also revealed that since appearing on the ITV2 show two years ago she had been the victim of bullying online.

Miss Gradon, who was educated privately at Dame Allan’s School in Newcastle upon Tyne and had a university degree, began modelling at 16. In 2008 she won Miss Newcastle and was crowned Miss Great Britain the following year.

She had returned from a holiday in the south of France with her boyfriend only a week before she was found dead.

A spokesman for Northumbri­a Police said there was not believed to be any third party involvemen­t in Mr Armstrong’s death.
