LITTLE TERRORS ALERT!

Call out government gurus, Call up the Home Guard, And even call the military As the going will be hard! We’re about to be invaded A mini-coup at best, So batten down the hatches To avert civil unrest! There’ll be fighting on the beaches, Fighting on the farms, We’ll need a nip of G&T Just to keep us calm! The noise will be unbearable, No more peaceful parks, And the safest time to hit the streets Will be after dark! No more relaxation No more tranquil bliss Or afternoon siestas, No, there’ll be none of this! We have to stick together, ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ For after about six weeks or so The crisis will be gone. But time is fast approaching Of this terror and this fear, For come the end of summer term School holidays are here! Sheila Webb, Chesham, Bucks.
