THE crowds gather outside the Royal Albert Hall as the annual festival of classical music gets under way. With the sun (hopefully) glinting off the majestic Albert Memorial just over the road, the all-British programme includes Holst’s The Planets and Vaughan Williams’s choral masterpiece Toward The Unknown Region.
