No Battle for Britain
i WATChED with enormous pride the RAF parade and flypast.
Thank heavens Theresa May wasn’t in power before the Battle of Britain commenced, otherwise her speech might have sounded like this:
‘We won’t bother to defend our island, is whatever the cost may be; we shall s welcome you on our beaches and a we will provide you with landing grounds to enable unfettered immigration; im we shall provide jobs so your y people can work in our fields and a buy you a beer in the streets; we shall sh build houses on our hills for you to live in; we shall never leave you.’
i voted Conservative at the election thinking th that the party would deliver our o departure from the EU — how wrong w i was.
Parliament gave us a vote on something s we didn’t ask for and it didn’t d like the result.
The past two years have been spent on working out how they can keep us inn while pretending we have left.
