Courtois hints at Chelsea exit

CHELSEA are in turmoil two days after Maurizio Sarri was confirmed as manager, with Thibaut Courtois joining Eden Hazard in casting huge doubt over his future.

After helping Belgium beat England on Saturday, Hazard rocked Chelsea by indicating he wants to move this summer. He has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid but Barcelona are also interested.

Now Courtois, 26, has joined him in hinting he could be ready to leave. The Belgium keeper has less than 12 months to run on his contract. Chelsea have offered him about £200,000 per week to sign an extension, but Courtois feels it is no longer enough after winning the Golden Glove as the World Cup’s best goalkeeper.

‘I will see what they want and how they say it,’ he said. ‘ Obviously with this World Cup, I think what was on the table obviously is different than what I can have, maybe.

‘I will have a chat with my agent and see what Chelsea told him, and then we will talk. But I feel happy at Chelsea, it’s not that I necessarily want to leave.’
