ACTRESS Carey Mulligan shuffled through New York wearing a foot brace while on a break from her starring role in the Broadway production of Girls & Boys.

Mulligan, 33, has been in the wars lately after an incident last month during the show’s preview. ‘The curtain came down on my head, it really hurt,’ Carey said.

Luckily, actor Bradley Cooper came to the rescue and took her to casualty. Hospital staff were thrilled.

‘They were absolutely floored with Bradley coming in, I felt like I was giving them a gift in some way,’ she said.
